FASD is a hard disability to diagnose. There is not just one test
doctors can do to find out if a child has FASD or form of FASD. Sometimes the mother
is no longer in the child’s life so the doctor cannot ask the mother question
about consuming alcohol when they were pregnant. FASD there is nothing doctors
can do for FASD because FASD is brain damage. The best help a child can get
with FASD is the people around them making this earlier for them and
understanding the condition they have. Have structure in the class room is important
a lot of kids with FASD function better when there is structure. Also making
sure a child is not to over stimulate by not having a lot of things on the
walls, things hanging from the ceiling, or having the walls painted bright (education.alberta.)
